Every rate on this site is reproduced from federal wage determinations published by the U.S. Department of Labor through SAM.gov. Wage determination text is public domain. We reorganize it by county, trade, and construction type; we do not alter the published rates. PrevailWage is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. Department of Labor or any other government agency.
Freshness and dating
DOL publishes modifications weekly, generally on Fridays. We sync after each publication cycle and stamp every page with the date of its last successful sync. Every displayed rate carries its wage determination number, revision, and modification date, with a link to the same determination on SAM.gov so you can verify the number against the official record in one click.
The limit that matters
The legally operative rate is the one in the wage determination incorporated into your contract (29 CFR 1.6), which may differ from the current published revision shown here. This site is a lookup convenience, not the official source, and not a substitute for your contract documents or contracting officer.
Parsing completeness
Wage determinations are published as structured text that we parse. When a rate block cannot be parsed with confidence we omit it rather than risk showing a wrong number, and we monitor those gaps. Our methodology page shows current parse-completeness statistics.
Corrections
See a rate that does not match SAM.gov? Use the correction form. We treat rate discrepancies as defects and aim to respond within 5 business days.
